Natural & Mineral Makeup I want to try…
The other day I shared with you a link to the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics because as we know there are many toxic ingredients that are hormone disruptors, carcinogens and endocrine disruptors that can be found in personal care products and cosmetics. While these toxins may not have an immediate effect on our overall health, use of these products over time can contribute to serious health issues.
There are a couple of cosmetic brands that I discovered and have been wanting to try out. I have not personally tried these brands yet, nor have I checked all of their ingredients. However, you can check the database on the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics for potential harmful ingredients. For me, I am trying to wear more eco-friendly and less toxic body care products and cosmetics, however I do still wear some products that may contain these ingredients.
“Truo’fles fine, high-quality mineral powders are talc-free, paraben-free, oil-free, fragrance-free, and does not contain any bismuth oxychloride. Truo’fles mineral makeup is naturally preservative and irritant-free. These light weight and long-wearing mineral powders are made for All Skin Types and protect the skin with an SPF 15. Truo’fles Cosmetics powders blends in perfectly providing a flawless even coverage while creating a luminous matte finish which controls the oil and controlling the shine. It’s formulated to minimize the appearance of pores and fine lines.” www.truoflescosmetics.com
“At Alima Pure, we never test our products on animals, and neither do our suppliers. The truth is, there’s no need, because we use pure cosmetic-grade mineral pigments that are safe and gentle. It’s that simple. And you have our word on it.” www.alimapure.com
If you have tried or do try either of these, please comment and let me know your thoughts. I will be making some purchases from both of these lines and will let you know what I think, so stay tuned.

I’ve been a Bare Minerals gal for a long time now but I’m curious about other more natural mineral makeups out there. I’m gonna put these on my list of ones to try too after I check em out a bit more! Thanks for bringing them to our attention!
wow, i’ve never used Bare Minerals although I’ve wanted to. I just felt Bare Minerals was so over-rated, that I wanted to give a try to some smaller companies. I like to support small business when i can. although i’ve heard that bare minerals really has great makeup.
